"Jack Pine" Was painted on location en plein air in the winter. I loved how this tree was all twisted. It felt like it was sculpted by the wind! It reminded me of the jake pine trees found in the northern coastal regions of Maine. It was painted as a snowstorm was clearing and the sun was just starting to peek out from behind this tree giving warm tones in the sky.
