"Portrait of a Chair" is an original 8"x10" plein air oil painting. I love painting my chair collection! The contrast of the chair and quilt against the snow I find enjoyable to paint. These old chairs remind me of my great grandmother. She is the one that got me interested drawing long, long, long ago. She loved to visit and I can remember how warm and inviting she made her home. It did not matter what was going on she always had a way of making everything okay. Have you, or do you have someone like that in your life? If you do treasure them!
